I can't remember if I've always used an email validation rule in other forms built with RSJoomla,but I've never run into this problem before. It appears that Joomla is trying to obscure any email address entered in the email sent to the admin. A text field labelled, "To", into which the user (applicant) can enter one of the above values, in this case, an email address. Find extensions for your Joomla site in the Joomla Extensions Directory, the official directory for Joomla components, modules and plugins. The list is displaying on the front-end as expected, but without any email cloaking.
